reached out to Joe as I was looking for a local team to guide me on a Tech dive on the Um El-Faroud. Not only did Joe give me an amazing experience but he and his team surpassed my expectations by a long way. I highly recommend Divemasters and Joe. Whether you’re looking to learn to dive or you’re a seasoned diver there are sites and experiences to suit. We’re looking at revising soon with a group as they offer accommodation and proximity to the airport is closer than any other, not to mention they are closest to the wreck too!!

I’ve been a dive instructor for 10 years and don’t hand out 5* easily, but Divemasters is a great, friendly dive shop and it’s just a few minutes from the islands best dive site, the Um El Faroud. It seems to be the only one this side of the island too.

We messaged on WhatsApp yesterday to organise kit and got a reply straight away.

Today, we started the morning with a nice espresso by the water and then hired kit to drive to the Um El Faroud. There’s plenty of parking for loading up your kit, and the shop is air conditioned with lots of shiny things to buy as well.

All the rental kit was more or less brand new, and all fairly high-end for rental kit too. Paperwork was done properly, and the instructor even briefed us for the dive site (it’s been a few years since I last came to Malta).

All for a _very_ reasonable price too.

5/5 will definitely come again.

(Dive shop also has Poseidon and another type [I think divesoft] rebreathers, and also rents kayaks)

Divemaster Malta offers unforgettable experiences both on the water and under it! This summer I enjoyed a fantastic kayak rental at Ġħar Lapsi exploring caves and stunning views, with Chris providing excellent, patient service.
Earlier, I also joined a scuba diving tour with Joe, whose energy and passion made every dive special. Both experiences left me with lasting memories of Malta’s beauty. Highly recommended!

We had some stunning dives with Joey! He’s such a fun person and actually the best spotter underwater. He was able to show us some incredible marine live, he found them all: octopuses, cuttlefishes, rays, nudibranches.. we didn’t even know the divesites in Malta are so divers and alive!
And the equipment was actually brand new.
We felt safe and had a great time. Definitely recommend!

I recently dove with Dive Masters, and it was an exceptional experience! The newly opened center has amazing and caring staff who make you feel welcome and safe from the start. The equipment is top-notch, all brand new and well-maintained, which added a lot to my confidence during the dives.

The location is ideal, with easy access to some of the most beautiful dive sites I've encountered here in Malta—crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life made every dive memorable. Overall, Dive Masters is a fantastic choice for divers of all levels. Highly recommended!

joe (the friendliest guy ever) rented us some snorkels for a really good price and we explored the beautiful ghar lapsi bay - we loved this site so much, crystal clear water and lots to see! 1000000% recommend!

Had a great afternoon dive on the wreck of the Um El Faroud with Joe who runs Divemasters. Joe is clearly a highly experienced diver and instructor whose combination of enthusaism, knowledge and professionalism made for a great day. The shop is well-stocked, and the hire equipment is first-class. Both he and Frankie, the owner, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The shore diving from the dive shop is very near and also excellent.

You MUST come and dive with this shop.
It’s an impeccable shop ideally located.
Joe is both incredibly knowledgeable and technical as a diver, but also hilariously funny.
So you can both learn and have fun at the same time.
We did two dives with a friend and everything was super smooth.
Oh, and Joe also doubles up as a duck rescuer, because why not :-)
